Melbourne International Jazz Festival
The Melbourne Jazz Festival draws great international and local names in Jazz and Soul - contemporary and classic jazz greats. There are over 100 acts, master classes, as well as free events and Kids Jazz program.

National Celtic Festival
A little bit out of the way, in Portalington on the Bellarine Peninsula, but the most diverse celebration Celtic Music in Australia - with great concerts, from traditional to contemporary to energetic Celtic Rock. You can learn Celtic dance or just relax with a glass of wine.

National Celtic Festival
Freedom From Fear – Emerge Festival
Celebrating Refugee Week in Victoria, the Emerge Festival has become an important Melbourne event over the last few years. It starts with a feel-good street party, and presents market stalls, coffee ceremonies, great international food and non-stop world music on three stages in Napier Street.

Winter Artisans' Markets
Local design and handcrafts, handmade items, blacksmithing, ceramic whell throwing, raku firing, kid's painting - designer fashion, jewellery, toys, bags, chocolates, beauty products. Great place to enjoy local talent, and beautiful things, as well as live music.
It's on over 4 Saturdays: June 18 & 25, July 2 & 9 at Northcote Townhall.
Blockbuster Exhibition: Tutankhamun
The renown young Egyption king. In his short rein of only about 9 years - he died in his late teens - he restored traditional gods and was surrounded by a dazzling array of possessions that followed him into the tomb - and which you can adore in this exhibition.

Vienna: Art & Design
A winter treat with works from the greats of the Vienna School such as Klimt, Schiele, Hoffmann – the group of radical young artists, architects, writers, musicians, designers and thinkers who overturned all rules. Their stylish, provocative and rebellious work was central to the early 20th century artistic revolution.
With more than 250 works of art, including painting, drawing, graphic and decorative art, furniture, fashion, jewellery and photography, you can experience the inventiveness and brilliance of these unique and revolutionary artists.
